Radiator Conversion

'A Good Radiator Conversion'

by Joe Green

A few years ago Troy purchased the ex Tim Stokes P76 and in this car Tim had fitted a WB Statesman Radiator.
This type of conversion had served Tim very well and Troy retained it in the car. Troy showed this to Alan Davis who immediately converted his cars to this system and I think an article in reference to it was published in our newsletter.
However, I will detail a list of parts required. To convert to this radiator you only have to remove the vertical spacer type panel on the off side of the car and a radiator shop is easily able to convert the bottom and top pipe connections.
Prices I have quoted may have since varied. We also installed thermo fans, sensor switch.
  • WB Statesman Radiator No AACF3123 from Natra $270.00
  • WB Radiator shroud No. 92006070 $ 50.00
  • 8 Bladed plastic fan cost about ... $ 60.00
  • Both pipe necks must be replaced and reposition locating pins
  • cost about $ 60.00
  • New hoses $ 40.00
  • Thermo Fans if used (good quality) are about $110.00
  • Thermo sensor switches, relays and bits and pieces of electric
  • terminals, fuse holders, etc. approx $ 80.00
