- per person per day for meals, which included 3 main meals and morning and afternoon tea's. The only problem so far is that the accommodation is in dorm style rooms that sleep 12 people per dorm.. Once I have the definite price, the Club will need to know exact number as soon as possible. We may only be able to book up to 100 beds and it will be first in, best dressed.

EDITORS REPORT
- Greetings all and welcome to another new year for our club. My name is Dave Collins and I have been elected to the position of editor for the next twelve months.
- A big thanks goes to my predecessor, Stan Larter, for getting the job done even under some pretty trying circumstances. For those of you who don't know me, I have been involved with the Leyland P76 since the 1993 National Meeting in Sydney, hosted by the Leyland P76 Owners club of N.S.W.
- I joined that club shortly after the National and over the next 8 years or so helped out in different positions on the committee, including editor.
- I moved to the Gold Coast in February 2002 and joined the Queensland P76 owners club that month. I currently own and drive an Omega Navy Targa Florio, which was last seen in Canberra at the National Meeting hosted by the Canberra and District P76 owners club.
- I'll try to make this magazine as informative and entertaining as possible so if you have any suggestions on its' content please don't be shy, I'd like to hear from you.
- I've been able to source a number of compact discs which I'd like to offer up as lucky door prizes for those of you that are able to make it to meetings and outings.
- I hope to see you at the next event, Dave Collins
TREADLINES
- Here's something a bit different!
- Tips: - Drive with your headlights on low beam ALL THE TIME.
- This improves your visibility to other road users.
- We want to make ourselves as visible as possible so we don't become a statistic. This may increase fuel consumption by around 0.5% and put a little more strain on your alternator but when compared to the benefits of being seen I think it's worth it.
- We all know that talking on a mobile phone is illegal whilst driving, that's be- cause it's dangerous.
- It's dangerous because it distracts us from concentrating on what we are supposed to be doing-DRIVING!
- Here are a few other distracting things we do whilst driving which are not illegal.
- Eating/drinking,, adjusting the music you're listening to, and even talking on a mobile phone using a hands free kit.
- Consider preparing better for your next trip or take a short break to eat/drink or talk, after all,, who wants the consequences?!
